Andrology

Department of Clinical Andrology

Andrology (from the Greek “andro”, meaning “man”) is a specialised field of medicine which deals with the reproductive functions of the man and disorders of these functions. Our centre is a long-standing training centre of the European Academy of Andrology and the only German Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organisation (WHO) for research into male reproduction. The Chief Physician, Prof. Sabine Kliesch, is a specialist in urology, andrology and drug tumour therapy and also a committee member of important professional associations (e.g. the German Society of Urology). TÜV Rheinland inspects our facility at regular intervals and certifies our compliance with the relevant standards for the care of our patients. At our centre we offer the diagnosis and treatment of all sub-disciplines of andrology, explained briefly here. The treatment options available are conservative medical, as well as all relevant surgical procedures.
