Vascular Anomalies

Vascular Anomalies

Congenital vascular anomalies can be evident either at birth or later in childhood.  They pose a challenge for vascular medicine, belonging to the group of rare diseases and requiring an interdisciplinary treatment approach due to their complexities.

Muenster University Hospital offers comprehensive treatment for vascular anomalies.  The Interdisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic provides a team of specialists for all patients.  The Department of Clinical Radiology provides state of the art diagnostics (as needed) through ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and digital subtraction angiography.  The Section for Pediatric Surgery and the Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery also provide interdisciplinary collaboration for treatment.  Recommended interventions are conducted conservatively using minimally invasive procedures, including open surgery, laser therapy or interventional radiology.

Imaging data sets and reports can be transmitted to the Clinic via the XPIPE System or via mail directed to the International Patient Office.
