- Expansion of constrictions and reopening extensive and long-time closures of upper/lower leg and pelvic arteries (including the use of balloon catheters, stents, highly specialised innovating recanalisation systems)
- Diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders
- Vascular diagnostics in case of pathologies of the rheumatic shape circle, connective tissue pathologies and Raynaud morbus
- Very latest research projects and studies such as stem cell therapy in severe circulatory disorders of the legs
Through a catheter intervention, the patients’ symptoms can be dramatically improved. However, this is only one step. Just as important are a careful diagnosis beforehand and systematic treatment with medication – as well as other measures – afterwards.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life and prognosis of our patients in the long term and to be a reliable, competent contact for them. Each year our hospital admits a total of more than 3,000 outpatients and inpatients.
To ensure correspondingly successful, comprehensive treatment, as well as to improve networking in the transition between inpatient and outpatient care, regular meetings are held in our department with vascular specialists and other disciplines working and practising at the hospital. Here we discuss complicated disorders and jointly take interdisciplinary therapy decisions for the optimal care of our patients.
